Designed by Prism Engineering, Prism Utility Monitoring & Analysis, or PUMA, is a tool that helps you achieve your energy & carbon management goals. All of PUMAs features are designed to provide the information you need to accurately monitor your energy use, set achievable targets, & easily & effectively report on the results.
At-a-glance scorecard
At-a-glance, see the impact of your consumption, emissions, & cost management as measured against a specified period. Green downward arrows indicate avoidance/savings, while red arrows pointing up indicate increased use. The totals culminate in a Cost Avoidance value, so you know exactly how you’re doing. Use the ‘Period’ drop down select to change the display between fiscal year, calendar year & last 12 months.
Customizable dashboard
For more granular views, the dashboard allows you to toggle between Energy Consumption, Greenhouse Gas Emissions & Costs by year. View four customizable dashboard tiles for each tab to help you turn your "data" into actionable "information.” You can also customize how you view your project by grouping, month, metric & save custom reports.
Live meters for real-time monitoring
The Live Meters feature allows you to see real time electric consumption by meter, so you can easily monitor your energy consumption. Customize your view based on 5-minute intervals, past 24 hours, or past 3 months. Submetering is required for this functionality,
or we can install a 3rd party meter to communicate with your smart meter.
Analytics & GHG planning
PUMA has developed a sophisticated way to plan, monitor & track your greenhouse gas emissions goals, helping you to reach your 2030, 2040 & 2050 reduction commitments. With the GHG Planning module you can create up to 3 different reduction target scenarios, allowing you to track initiatives & progress at shorter intervals to see impacts & ensure you meeting the net zero goal for 2050. The module allows you to create a plan for projects in general or dial into specific sites that may have special performance initiatives or retrofits. The ability to create different scenarios allows you to compare & track which scenarios have the greatest impacts.
Manage 1 or 10,000 meters
PUMA is tool that allows you to track your electrical, gas, fuel, & water utilities & manages your greenhouse gas emissions. The tool is hosted on our web servers & therefore, no installation or programming is necessary - all you need is an internet connection.
Track your savings
With PUMA, you can track savings effectively through weather normalization, baseline adjustments, regression modelling, energy, emissions, & cumulative sum reports. Compare utility consumption & emissions across multiple facilities, consolidate several utility accounts at once or create graphs that display actual consumption trends.
Government-approved tool
PUMA has been approved by the government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Citizens’ Services (Purchasing Services Branch) as a pre-qualified supplier of Utility Data Management Services. The PUMA system features a Clean Government Reporting Tool (CGRT) to easily fulfill Government regulatory requirements for Public Sector Organizations.
