We’re excited to welcome Mark De Guzman as our newest Full Stack Developer Intern at PUMA.

Mark is currently completing his Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science (BScACS) at BCIT, and brings two years of software development experience. He previously worked at a major cloud-based HCM platform, where he helped build tools used by millions of users around the world.

Mark’s passion for sustainability and energy efficiency is what drew him to PUMA:

“I'm passionate about sustainability, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, and advocating for better energy efficiency and reusability,” he shares.

That commitment has already shaped his work—most recently through an industry-sponsored project at BCIT, where he helped develop a sustainability-focused social media mobile platform.

“I took many classes focused on web and mobile development. Much of what I learned is directly applicable to the tech stack at PUMA thanks to the college’s more hands-on approach,” he adds.

Mark will work alongside Shruti Date, Senior Full Stack Developer, in helping the team with introducing a paper and waste module into PUMA.

We’re thrilled to have Mark on board and look forward to the impact he’ll make as we continue building tools that drive a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Welcome to the team, Mark!
